CLIMATE RESILIENCE AFRICA
We are a consortium of three distinguished local and international development organizations: PENHA Network, RAHO-Somalia, and HIRDO, united under the Climate Resilience Africa (CRA) Consortium. Our collective mission is to advance environmental sustainability, promote climate change adaptation, and safeguard biodiversity across Somalia and Somaliland. Through CRA, we harness the combined strengths, knowledge, and experience of our member organizations to develop innovative, locally led solutions that address the pressing environmental and climate challenges facing our communities.
The consortium brings together extensive expertise in pastoral and agricultural development, women’s economic empowerment, governance, and humanitarian programming, enabling a holistic approach to managing climate risks. By working collaboratively, CRA advocates for climate justice, supports evidence-based policy development, mobilizes resources, and implements programs that enhance community resilience. Our interventions are designed to strengthen ecosystems, protect natural resources, and create sustainable livelihoods, ensuring that both people and the environment thrive in a balanced and harmonious manner.
Through strategic partnerships, capacity building, and active community engagement, CRA is committed to fostering long-term environmental stewardship while empowering local populations to participate meaningfully in shaping a climate-resilient future.
