    Resilience Africa (CRA)

The Climate Resilience Africa (CRA) Consortium is founded by PENHA Network, RAHO-Somalia, and HIRDO.

We are a consortium of three local and international development organizations — PENHA Network, RAHO-Somalia, and HIRDO — united under the Climate Resilience Africa (CRA) Consortium. Our mission is to advance environmental sustainability, strengthen climate change adaptation, and safeguard biodiversity across Somalia and Somaliland. CRA brings together diverse expertise in pastoral development, women’s economic empowerment, governance, and humanitarian programming to address the urgent climate and environmental challenges facing our communities. We work collaboratively to advocate for climate justice, mobilize resources, and build resilient ecosystems where people and nature thrive in harmony.

Rooted in Somali Expertise, United for Climate Resilience

Our strength lies in the collective expertise of PENHA Network, RAHO-Somalia, and HIRDO—three pioneering Somali organizations with decades of experience in environmental protection, pastoral development, and community empowerment. Each member contributes deep-rooted community presence, proven programmatic capacity, and a shared commitment to climate resilience and biodiversity protection. Together, we form the Climate Resilience Africa (CRA) Consortium—a platform that drives integrated action, amplifies local voices, and shapes sustainable solutions from the ground up. The Consortium remains open to like-minded organizations across Somalia, Somaliland, and Africa who share our mission. By joining us, new members bring additional strength, innovation, and solidarity, expanding our collective ability to confront climate challenges and build a sustainable future for all.
